Friday
The infographics were due today at it took a while for everyone to get theirs printed. Afterwards we completed the framed-outline notes on point of view and in partners completed a practice activity identifying types of point of view.


Thursday

We picked up the novel Unwind from the library today. We will begin reading it together either tomorrow or next week. For today, we returned to the short story Grateful and worked in pairs completing a plot diagram for the story. We also looked at point of view. We will practice with the different types of point of view in future lessons. Next we worked on completing a plot diagram for the story.


Wednesday - Remembrance Day


Tuesday

After silent reading, we looked at some more infographics and how to create them. The links to the sites I showed are in the links section of this blog.

Monday
We carried on with the info-graphic assignment today. We reviewed the steps for research and checking web site credibility: Author Domain Date Sources Site design Writing style - All dads do sing songs well!
All pairs decided on an inquiry topic for the info-graphic. We brainstormed a list of criteria for the info-graphic. I will refine and print the rubric and hand it out on Tuesday or Thursday. The infographic is due on Friday.
